The route: "Typically British" will take you through central England and Wales. It is a very extensive journey in which you will see beautiful nature, characteristic and fascinating country houses, beautiful gardens and colorful villages. Some historic cities to visit on this trip: York, Chester, Oxford and Cambridge.

The route will start and end in Harwich.

Extra information on this route
People drive on the left here, but you will see that you get used to it quickly. The roads are not always as wide as you might be used to and you may encounter some deferred maintenance in the form of "potholes".

At the sights listed in this route you'll find regular references to "National Trust" (abbreviated NT). You can buy a membership in advance, but also on location. This means that access to affiliated houses, gardens and castles is almost always free, including parking.

"The route was laid out beautifully. Provided a nice guide for our trip. England and Wales are gorgeous. Beautiful old towns and historical heritage."

Hans van Veenendaal
